Kamber began her career in accounting at the age of 19, working alongside her mother. With years of experience in the field, she is set to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Western Governors University (WGU) in 2025. Kamber joined Kim Barnes’ team in the summer of 2025.
Currently residing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Kamber enjoys spending quality time outdoors with her husband and two children. Their favorite activities include camping, fishing, and exploring nature.
Why do you love what you do?
Being a bookkeeper is more than just a job for me; it brings a sense of fulfillment and purpose to my daily life. The field of bookkeeping is always evolving with new technologies and regulations. I love the continuous learning aspect, as it keeps me updated and allows me to improve my skills constantly.
Autumn currently resides in Kalispell, Montana with her husband. They were born & raised in Texas but felt a calling to live a slower, quieter pace. They still visit and enjoy time with family. They are blessed with two wonderful children, Landry & Mattie. The four of them enjoy both summer and winter activities. Feeling the Lords presence out in nature fills their cup.
Why do you love what you do?
I love being able to work with an amazing team, in a remote location, and on my own schedule. I enjoy the challenge of problem-solving, organization and supporting business owners with their finances.
Jana currently resides in Austin, TX with her husband. They called Lubbock home for 5 years before now, and enjoyed their time there. They still visit throughout the year to spend time with family and love every minute of the Lubbock “traffic”, and sweet West Texas people. They are blessed with their spirited, sweet, 3-year-old son, Tyson. The three of them enjoy their time outside hiking and camping.

“For me, bookkeeping is like solving a fun, satisfying puzzle—almost like a game of sudoku! It’s a rewarding challenge that helps clear my mind, and I get great joy in easing the burden for my clients. It’s the perfect balance of efficiency and enjoyment, and I’ve truly found my niche, helping others manage their finances.”
Tanya graduated from Texas Tech in 1985 with a degree in finance and accounting. She has been able to use her knowledge in many areas: non-profit, corporate, legal, financial, commercial and entrepreneurial endeavors. In her opinion, there are few things as beautiful as a clean and cohesive set of books, however, she does enjoy unraveling a bowl of “financial spaghetti” from time to time. That is the joy she finds in numbers….there is always a correct answer!

“Doing what I was gifted to do, helping business owners with the financial aspect of their business, allows them to focus on what they were gifted in doing…their business!”
Ashley is a Lubbock-native, a former student of Texas A&M University, and holds a doctorate of physical therapy from Texas Woman’s University. From physical therapist to bookkeeper, She has found a unique balance within her career with a common goal of helping others achieve their goals. She lives in Houston, TX with her husband, Justin, and two kids, Harper and Hudson.
Why do you love what you do?
“I desire to make work/life easier for my clients! As a business owner, clients are pulled in many different directions. I enjoy taking some of that burden off of them so that they can focus on what matters most!”
Jennah graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Horticulture and Urban Planning. She worked 2 years in her field before joining Kim Barnes Bookkeeping Services in the summer of 2024.

Prissy brings over 33 years of experience in education and has been a valued member of KBBS for the last 9 years. Her strong organizational skills and attention to detail make her an essential part of the team, providing reliable and efficient bookkeeping and relational support.

Married to Kim Barnes in 1986. John retired from XFAB Texas in December 2023 after 23 years as the Manufacturing Manager. Prior to that he was with Texas Instruments for 19 years. He has witnessed the development and growth of Kim Barnes Bookkeeping Services to be a hands-on and personal operation. KBBS is very available to customers and so willing to provide the needs of businesses and business owners.

“While my role is not that of a bookkeeper, I enjoy providing some advice when called upon and learning what AI can and will do.”
Christi brings 33 years of experience working in a physician’s office. She is applying her attention to detail and organizational skills to bookkeeping at Kim Barnes Bookkeeping Services, LP – and she loves it!

Marcelia has always thrived in team environments, from her years playing sports to her diverse professional experiences in education, the nonprofit sector, and the technology industry. After 23 years as an office manager in the business world, She recently returned to bookkeeping—a field she has enjoyed throughout her career—and is thrilled to be part of the KBBS team!

Kristy graduated from Wayland Baptist University earning an education degree with an emphasis in business. She worked in management for eleven years prior to joining Kim Barnes and her team in 2017.

Debbie is a seasoned bookkeeper with 27 years of experience helping businesses thrive. She has successfully managed bookkeeping in a range of industries, including food manufacturing, non-profits, and a variety of small businesses. Since joining the Kim Barnes team in 2024, she has been committed to providing accurate and reliable bookkeeping services.
